Often characterized by an uncontrollable worry, feelings of inadequacy, or thoughts that something bad will happen, anxiety can manifest in the body in a physical form that interrupts a person's life.
Probably most noted as an uncontrollable sadness, hopelessness or lack of desire to do things that were once preferred, depression can be a barrier to day-to-day functioning. Depression can feel like pressure.
Trauma can be apparent, or it can lurk in the background as a disruptive lens through which a person sees the world. It can cause a person to avoid activities that could lead to unsettling exposures.
These behaviors can provide a sense of temporary refuge from crisis, trauma and stressors. However, they may put a wedge between a person and wellness. Coping mechanisms can be healthy or unhealthy.
Many traumas are connected to experiences that took place during childhood and adolescence. Unpacking those experience early on through play therapy could be a path to victory over the trauma.

I’ve been drawn to the beauty and mystery of God’s creation for as long as I can remember. Jesus has put it on my heart and mind to capture a story in creation for you to experience, so you can see the glorious majesty of God’s handiwork. God has not abandoned His creation, and He never will! The more we observe, the more we will see that God is the author of creation. And it is a spectacular story indeed!
For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse. (Romans 1:20 HCSB)
