Yes! We serve all people who have clinical and mental health counseling needs. My specialty in Christian counseling that I received during graduate school program at Liberty University put me in a position to help people of all beliefs and even people who have no faith or religious conviction.

No. As much as I would love to serve clients across the nation, my registration as a Professional Counselor Associate and insurance only permit me to provide counseling services in the state of Oregon.
Fantastic question! A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is a counselor who has completed all supervision hours required by the state of Oregon, has passed the Oregon Laws and Rules Examination and has passed the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE). LPCs no longer need supervision and qualify to register to supervise interns and Professional Counselor Associates.
Professional Counselor Associates have completed graduate school requirements and have conferred MA degrees in counseling. For students like me who attended Liberty University for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program, graduates have also completed and passed the CPCE examination which was required for conferral and CACREP certification, and the exam is similar in content and scope to the NCE. Professional Counselor Associates have completed all required internship hours and have been registered to practice in the state of Oregon. Professional Counselor Associates practice ethically and legally under their supervisor’s license until they are approved to secure full licensure. Practitioners like me meet with their supervisor for 90 minutes each month, but hold entirely independent sessions with you.
On my Psychology Today profile, it says “Pre-Licensed Professional,” which is another way to designate Professional Counselor Associate status.
Yes! That is another great question that I am happy to clarify. I am a private contractor at Inner Peace Counseling Inc. in Medford, OR. We take most OHP plans. However, we currently do not take Allcare. If you do not have insurance and want to pay out-of-pocket, I have a flat-rate that is $150/session for individual counseling. Based on your unique circumstances, we can discuss my sliding scale to help make my service more affordable to you.
Yes! I offer tele-health video and/or phone counseling sessions. Clients must be in the state of Oregon for those appointments, which is the only state I can ethically and legally serve in according to my Professional Counselor Associate registration and insurance. The research shows there is the same level of efficacy with telehealth appointments so rest assured, if you are an adolescent or an adult, telehealth is a great option for your next session.
